Athletic Club sign forward Maroan Sannadi
The centre-forward joins Athletic Club with a contract until 2029 after a transfer agreement with Deportivo Alavés and financial compensation for Barakaldo CF, where he was on loan
Athletic Club have signed centre-forward Maroan Sannadi from Deportivo Alavés. His contract runs until 30 June 2029 and contains a clause to extend it by an additional year.
Barakaldo CF, the club where he has impressed enormously whilst on there on loan, will also receive financial compensation from Athletic.
Maroan has signed a contract in line with the Club's policy, with a fixed salary structure and a variable component based on objectives.
Sannadi, who turns 24 today, is a powerful centre-forward (1.92m), with great movement and an instinct for asserting himself in the box.
This strength has allowed him to become the leading scorer in his Primera Federación group, with 11 goals in 20 games for Barakaldo.
The striker joined Deportivo Alavés in 2021 from CD Ariznabarra, and had previously played for CD Aurrera de Vitoria and CD Lakua, an Athletic-affiliated club and his hometown side.
He spent three seasons with CD San Ignacio (Alavés' C team at the time) and Alaves' reserves, where he scored 33 goals before moving to Barakaldo.
