Maroan Sannadi's official presentation at San Mamés

Maroan Sannadi spoke to the local press for the first time on Wednesday morning at his official presentation as an Athletic Club signing.

Accompanied by his family, club president Jon Uriarte, director of football Mikel González and Jose Angel Iribar, the new Athletic forward admitted that joining the Lions is a dream come true.

"I'm overjoyed, it's very special," Maroan said at the press conference. "Ever since I wore this shirt for the first time at a special training session with Lakua, I've dream of one day playing at San Mames."

The 24-year-old said he is settling in well after his first handful of training sessions with the first team and he is grateful for the trust placed in him by the club.

"I was surprised by how normal they are for people at such a high level," he said about his new colleagues

"They're normal people who exude love, trust and humility. For my part, I will work hard every day, just as I did at Barakaldo, Lakua and Alaves."
