Built from Tradition: 2025/26 home kit

Athletic Club's 2025/26 Castore home kit is now available for purchase in our online store and official club retail outlets.

Under the slogan "Zaharrak Berri / Built from Tradition / Unidos a la Tradición", the design of this new shirt pays tribute to one of San Mamés' most famous traditions and to the Basque Country's ancient spirit.

The 2025/26 season will mark a century since the bust of Pichichi was placed in San Mamés in December 1926. It has since become an iconic figure that has given rise to one of the most unique practices in world football: the floral offering that visiting teams make when they play their first official match at The Cathedral.

This act, full of respect and ceremony, symbolises the connection between the past and the present, between those who take to the pitch now and those who have already left a legacy.

Inspired by this century-old ritual, the shirt interweaves Red and White heritage with the Eguzkilore (a silver thistle flower), a symbol of The Basque Country.

According to Basque mythology, the Eguzkilore protects homes from evil spirits and, as it is capable of surviving in harsh climates, it also represents the identity, strength and resilience of the Basque people.

Its presence on the shirt acts as an extension of the floral offering to Pichichi, transforming the tribute into a tangible symbol that the players will wear on the back of their necks.

Athletic Club's new kit combines innovation and tradition with a design designed for maximum performance.

Made of highly breathable Aertex fabric, it features a polo neck with a double collar, contrasting details on the collar and cuffs, and quality finishes such as a silicone badge (Pro version) or an embroidered badge (Replica version). 

The kit is rounded off with black shorts and socks with a red and white finish.
