The Bilbao Athletic captain, after playing over a hundred matches for the reserves, joins the LaLiga Hypermotion side on loan
Bilbao Athletic captain Beñat Gerenabarrena will spend the next season on loan at CD Castellón.
The 22-year-old steps up to LaLiga Hypermotion after making 105 apperances for Athletic Club's main reserve team.
The temporary deal does not contain a purchase clause and the midfielder, who is under contract at Athletic until 2027, will return to Lezama at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Beñat joined Athletic at under-13 level and made his senior debut in a mid-season friendly against Udines Calcio during the 2022/23 season.
