Ane Campos joins Athletic Club

Ane Campos, 26, has joined Athletic Club from SD Eibar, signing a contract until 20 June 2029.

The forward, who greatest strength is her ability to attack space, has spent the past six seasons in Eibar, becoming a key player and making 85 top-flight appearances.

Her progress this season was hampered by an ankle injury, from which she is now fully recovered, that limited her to only 13 matches.

Ane admitted she was "happy and proud to now be part of this family, at this club".

She continued: "I can't wait to start training with the players. They've been role models for me since I was young and being able to play with them is very exciting.

"I know I'm coming to a big club that has achieved a lot year after year in the Liga F and I'm proud join this team. I will try to give everything I have. For me, it's a dream to be here."

Campos came up through the ranks at Club Zumaiako FT, and after spending two seasons at Oiartzun KKE, she joined Real Sociedad's reserve team in 2018, where she spent one season. The following year, she moved to SD Eibar, helping the side achieve a first ever promotion to Liga F in 2020.
