Athletic to start LaLiga 2025/26 at home against Sevilla and finish at Santiago Bernabeu
The Lions will kick off the new season against Sevilla FC at San Mames and will conclude it against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu
Athletic Club's fixture list for LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26 has been announced and the Lions will begin the new season against Sevilla FC at San Mames on the weekend of August 17.
The Lions will see out the campaign against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 24.
It will be the fourth time that Los Leones have faced the Andalusians in an opening-day clash. We last kicked off a season against Sevilla in 1991/92, losing 0-2 at The Cathedral. Prior to that, we beat them 3-0 at San Mames on Matchday 1 of 1988/89 and 6-1 back in our 1955/56 opener.
As for the Basque Derbies, we face Real Sociedad away on November 2 (MD11) and at home on February 1 (MD22), Deportivo Alaves at San Mames on September 14 (MD4) and at Mendizorrotza on May 3 (MD34), and CA Osasuna away on January 4 (MD18) and at home on May 22 (MD33).
