Athletic Club's stadium continues to consolidate itself as a multifunctional and dynamic space beyond match days
San Mamés registered a total attendance of 2,265,326 people during the 2024/25 season. As far as football is concerned, La Catedral hosted 27 matches of the men's first team between LaLiga, Copa and Europa League, gathering 1,308,402 spectators. In addition, the women's first team played four matches, with a total of 65,599 people in the stands.
But life in the stadium goes beyond the purely footballing. On non-match days, San Mamés welcomed 884,879 people who participated in the many activities that took place on a daily basis in its facilities. Cultural events, concerts, catering, visits to the AC Museoa, the Tour of the stadium, or the commercial activity of the official Club shop located in the Cathedral.
Athletic itself has promoted a wide range of proposals that have brought together thousands of people, such as the 7-a-side football tournament for companies or the AC Cup, as well as professional and creative fairs such as Sunday Market.
Companies have also found the stadium an ideal place for their meetings, conferences, exhibitions and dinners for more than 3,000 guests, many of them held in the spaces of the VIP ring, which highlights the versatility and modernity of San Mames.
In addition, the stadium has once again been the venue for major international events such as the UEFA Europa League final, consolidating its position as a reference venue at European level.
