Castore's alternative strip, which comes entirely in turquoise green, honours Athletic's supporters' clubs around the world
Athletic Club and Castore have released the Lions' third kit for the new season.
A turquoise green jersey made with AerTek fabric, the strip pays tribute to Athletic's 467 fan clubs around the world. The shirt features intertwined shields that symbolise the unbreakable bond between the fans, the players and the Basque people - an eternal connection that extends from Bilbao to all corners of the world.
It is a recognition of those who are always there. In the good times, but also when the team has needed it most, both at The Cathedral and at any other stadium around world, no matter how far away it may be.
With this alternative strip, Athletic Club and Castore bring green to the team's official kit. It has become a typical colour for away and alternative kits over the last 15 years, but is now being used for the first time by the English company.
It's a colour which provokes great memories for Athletic fans, such as Iñaki Williams' goal-scoring debut in Turin and the Yuri Berchiche goal which saw the Zurigorri qualify for 2020 Copa final.
