Athletic Club is saddened by the passing of Juan Antonio Virumbrales, our Club Member no.1, and would like to extend its condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.
A Club Member since 1 September 1939, Juan Antonio Virumbrales has been a true role model for the Athleticzales family, always standing out for his energy and enthusiasm in defending this club.
A regular at the club's General Members' Meetings, his interventions were always respectful and constructive. Juan Antonio received a tribute from the whole of San Mamés in recognition of his involvement in the movement to create a standing section at the stadium.
