Peio Canales will play on loan at Real Racing Club de Santander

Peio Canales will play on loan at Real Racing Club de Santander in LaLiga Hypermotion next season.

The attacking midfielder will make his Second Division debut after combining turning out for Bilbao Athletic with occasional appearances for Ernesto Valverde's team last season.

This will be his first experience outside Lezama since joining the academy ten years ago.

The loan deal includes penalties for non-participation and bonuses based on performance but does not contain an option to buy.

This means Peio, who made his first-team debut in September 2024 against Sevilla FC at San Mames and has played eight official matches as a Lion, will return to Bilbao at the end of the season.
