Peio Canales will play on loan at Real Racing Club de Santander

Peio Canales will play on loan next season at Real Racing Club de Santander in LaLiga Hypermotion. The Barrika native will make his Second Division debut after combining work at Bilbao Athletic with occasional appearances for Ernesto Valverde's team last season.

This will be his first experience outside Lezama since joining the academy ten years ago.

The midfielder's loan includes penalties for non-participation and variable amounts based on performance. On the other hand, it does not include an option to buy, so the footballer, who made his debut with the first team in September 2024 against Sevilla FC at San Mames and has played eight official matches as a Lion, will return to Lezama at the end of the season.
