As part of the deal Athletic get additional clauses based on individual and team results, a percentage of any future transfer, the right of first refusal and a buy-back option
Athletic Club and SD Eibar have reached an agreement for Adu Ares to join Eibar club.
In addition to individual and team based performance bonuses, Athletic is entitled to a percentage of any future sale, the right of first refusal and an option to buy him back.
The deal also includes the transfer of player Iker Aldai to Bilbao Athletic for the 2025/26 season, which was announced yesterday.
Ares, 23, who played on loan last season at Real Zaragoza in LaLiga Hypermotion, leaves Athletic Club after making 27 official appearances. Both his goals came during a 1-2 win over UE Rubí in the first round of the 2023/24 Copa, which the Lions would go on to win.
Ares made his debut for the Zurigorri on 15 August 2022, in our 2022/23 LaLiga opener against RCD Mallorca.
Athletic Club would like to thank Adu for his commitment and dedication, and wishes him the best of luck in both his personal and professional future.
