San Mames stadium guide: Athletic Club vs Qarabağ FK

This Wednesday at 18:45, San Mames hosts the Champions League Matchday 3 fixture between Athletic Club and Qarabağ FK. Below there is some useful information for all those coming to Bilbao to watch the match at The Cathedral.

 

STADIUM ACCESS

The gates will open at 17:15. Please try to arrive ahead of time so you can speed up your entry into the stadium, avoid last-minute crowds and enjoy the start of the match.

Club Members must present the following documents to enter San Mames:

A membership card (physical or digital) for Club Members who have purchased online their Champions League pass. 

A physical ticket for those Club Members who have purchased the Champions League pass at the San Mames ticket office.

Individuals who have purchased a single ticket for this match (Members, Gazte Abonoa, General Public) must show their ticket at the San Mames turnstiles.

 

CARD TRANSFERS 

If you would like to lease your membership card for the match, these are your options:

• Via the official app (My Account section) or the Members' Txoko (Transfer/Stadium access section).
• You can transfer your card up to two hours before kick-off (you will only be able to withdraw the transfer if it has not been accepted).

 

TICKET SALES

The San Mamés ticket office, located between Gates 6 & 7 at the stadium.

• Wednesday October 22: from 10:30 to 13:00 and from 16:45 until 18:45.

Tickets will be available online right up until kick-off.

SAN MAMES SHOP

The official shop (located between Gates 26 and 0 at San Mames) will be open non-stop from 10:00 until 21:30.

Don't forget, you can also place orders at the Athletic Club online shop.  

 

BARS & RESTAURANTS

You can enjoy a wide range of products at the food and drink stands (called Poza bars) throughout the stadium. You can place orders at the Online Bar up to 24 hours before kick-off. Pay online and pick up your food at an assigned stand while avoiding the half-time queues.

Geuria!, San Mames' in-built sportsbar, will be closed.

Bar La Campa de los Ingleses will be open from 09:30 until 16:00, while Restaurant San Mames Jatetxea is taking reservations but must be empty by 16:00.

 

AC MUSEUM & SAN MAMES TOUR

The Athletic Club Museum and San Mames Tour (next to Gate 20) are open at the following times:

• Tuesday, 21 October: The museum will be open from 10:00 to 20:00. Access to the stadium tour will end at 12:45.
• Wednesday, 22 October: The museum will be open from 10:00 to 14:45. The stadium tour will be unavailable.
