Athletic to face CyD Leonesa in Copa round of 16
Los Leones will take on Kuko Ziganda's side at the Reino de León on January 13 at 21:00 CET
Athletic Club have drawn LaLiga Hypermotion outfit Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa in the Copa round of 16, a single-leg tie which will take place at the Reino de León.
We've faced each other in three previous Copa knockout ties (five matches in total), with the most recent clash occurring in the 2004/05 season. The Zurigorri advanced to the following round on every occasion.
The upcoming tie has extra intrigue as the Leonesa's head coach is 'Kuko' Ziganda, a legendary former Athletic manger, who went on to coach our senior side as well as various youth teams at Lezama.
The match will be played next week on January 13 at 21:00 CET.
