Paredes

Aitor first joined Athletic at Under-11 level. Since then, the centre-back has risen through the ranks, constantly proving himself at every level.

A naturally strong and competitive defender, Paredes can play with the ball at his feet and loves an aerial battle. He established himself as a reliable member of the first-team squad, never letting Ernesto Valverde down when called upon last season.

His performances led to a call-up to the Spain Under-21 squad for the 2023 European Championship, where he helped the side finish runners-up. Aitor will look to keep developing this season and challenge for a spot in the starting XI.
