Paredes

Aitor first joined Athletic at Under-11 level. Since then, the centre-back has risen through the ranks, constantly proving himself at every level.

He's now fully established himself in the first team, forming a formidable defensive partnership with Dani Vivian. A naturally strong and competitive defender, Paredes can play with the ball at his feet and loves an aerial battle. He's also got an eye for goal, often striking at corners, like he did at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma in the 2024/25 Europa League.

At international level, he has played for the Spanish Under-21s and was a key part of the squad that finished runners-up at 2023 European Championship.

Another academy product with a long-term deal, Aitor's contract at Athletic will run until 2029.
