Dani arrived at Athletic in the 2016/17 season from local side Santutxu, making his way through the ranks before spending the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Mirandés. He made 32 appearances and scored two goals during his time in the Segunda División.
He made his senior breakthrough in 2021/22, playing 27 times and scoring two goals in his first season in the top-flight. Dani recently signed a new long-term deal to keep him at Athletic until 2032.
