A home-grown talent in every sense, Imanol first came to Athletic at under-11 level in 2010. After climbing his way through the ranks, and loan spells with CD Mirandés and SD Eibar, the Bizkaia-born youngster made his senior debut in the 2023/24 LaLiga opener against Real Madrid at San Mames.

A silky left-back, Imanol is comfortable with the ball at his feet and his specialty is a whipped cross into the box from that left-flank. This season, he will be looking to establish himself in the top-flight as he competes with Yuri and Iñigo Lekue for a spot in Ernesto Valverde's starting XI.
