A powerful right-back, Jesus gained significant experience at Lezama with Bilbao Athletic, playing 79 matches before he turned 21. He decided to leave Athletic for CA Osasuna, where he played 86 matches, and also spent a year on loan at Burgos CF.
The Lions re-signed the defender to replace the retiring Oscar de Marcos, with Jesus signing a contract until 2031.
Areso possesses a lot stamina and is more than happy to spend 90 minutes running up and down the right flank. The full-back has come back to Athletic in his prime but with plenty of potential to get even better.
