San Mames holds a special place in the history of football. It is a legendary stadium where countless classic matches have taken place. Known as "The Cathedral" both for its setting and for the incredible atmosphere in the stands, San Mames inspires the admiration of all those who have visited the stadium. It has received praise from iconic footballers, retired referees and all kinds of visitors.

Athletic Club opened its Lezama facilities in 1971. The Club knew that to keep progressing, it needed a training centre for its professional team, as well as a football academy for its youth sides.

Ibaigane Palace acts as Athletic Club’s headquarters. It’s a magnificent early 20th century building located in the very centre of Bilbao, just metres away from the Guggenheim Museum.
