The courier service company MRW has lost the administrative file that the player’s lawyers mailed to the attorney so that he, in turn, could return it to the Central Court of Administrative Litigation Number 10, where the case is being handled.

The original administrative expedient, which was in the hands of the player’s lawyers to formalize the claim, was collected last Tuesday, 16 December, at the law offices of player Carlos Gurpegi

MRW, after communicating on 17 December the loss of the shipment, assured the player’s lawyers that given the characteristics of the shipment it would be located before 24 hours. The following day, 18 December, after numerous conversations with MRW’s director of External Relations, Francisco Sosa, the player’s lawyers sent a telegram to the president of MRW, Francisco Martín Frio, in which, besides conveying the importance of the lost document, they communicated that they would have to report the fact and, consequently, the company. The player’s lawyers have also indicated that “the president of MRW, despite having received the telegram, has not contacted us nor do we have any indication that he has personally taken charge of such a serious matter”.

Although the courier service committed, by telephone, to look over all the videos that registered the loading and unloading of lorries originating in Bilbao with destination Madrid, at no time have they made an official announcement on the search carried out.

On 22 December, after five days had elapsed since the disappearance of the package that contained the expedient, MRW’s director of External Relations has informed the player’s lawyers that the shipment had not yet been found. As a result, they have interposed the corresponding accusation before the Judge on duty in Bilbao, and communicated the fact to the court in Madrid where the Gurpegi case is being handled.
