On the night of 25 March, within a context generalized by accusations and insults toward various members of our organization, on Nervión Radio’s sport program, the following was quite textually declared: ‘and I thought that the cancer left with Javier Uria, unfortunately cancer continues in Athletic and his name is Ignacio Ugartetxe’.
These words, in addition to hurting the sensitivity of relatives, friends and of any person affected by the mentioned disease, dismay everyone that makes up Athletic Club and are very difficult to mend. Athletic Club is studying measures to adopt, to safeguard the good reputation of all its members and especially if they are, unfortunately, not among us.
