UEFA Women’s Cup: calendar

Athletic Club has seen the original calendar modified for its appearance in the UEFA Women’s Cup. UEFA had announced that our team did not have to enter competition until the second phase, however the classification of a team from Azerbaijan with a greater coefficient implies that our players will begin to compete between the 9 and 13 August.

They will do so in the A3 group along with Saestum from Holland, organizer of the phase, Glasgow City from Scotland and Rapide Wezeemal from Belgium. From this group only the champions will qualify.

In the second phase the champion will have to play against the constituents of the B1 group, made up by the defending European Champions, the Turbine Potsdam, and the winners of groups A1 and A2. Playing in the A1 group will be the French Montpellier, organizers of the SU 1, Dezembro from Portugal, Glentoran Belfast United from Northern Ireland and the Welsh from the Cardiff. In the A2 group, the Austrian Neulengbach, the Italian Bardolino Verona, the Irish University College Dublin and the Maksimir from Croatia, organizers of the phase.
