A Word from the President

In response to the decision handed down by the Spanish Sporting Disciplinary Committee on Monday, 2 of April, I’d like to express to the women’s team my absolute support and affirm that we will do our utmost to overturn this unbelievable situation, and to ensure that the Superliga returns to normal.

In addition, I’d like to express my great unrest and concern with reference to this decision which arises from a totally haphazard situation in connection with the rules which regulate the competition, and which seriously undermines the competition.

Actions taken such as these, which are to say the least surprising, if we consider that this decision was announced four months after the Appeals Committee’s ruling, and that there are only three matchday rounds left in the Female Superliga Competition, do not aid in any way the competition’s unambiguousness.

We hope that the Committee will respond to our appeal by reconsidering their stance, and close the gap concerning the rules which regulate football, which has brought about a dangerous precedent when it comes to the normal running of this competition and that of all the other competitions organized by the RFEF.
