The veterans, in Zalla with UNICEF

The Athletic Club Supporters’ Club from Zalla and the Club’s veteran team organized a Solidarity Match in favour of UNICEF which took place this past Saturday, 2 June, at the Zalla ground, at 19 hours, in which our team measured up against a selection of veterans from Enkarterri.

Athletic Club won the match by 0-1, thanks to a goal scored by Aitor Larrazabal and Jorge Zubiaga attended the event representing UNICEF.

The objective of this initiative was to collect funds for UNICEF’s ‘United for children, united against AIDS’ Campaign, whose main mission is to remind us that children are still the ‘missing face’ of this pandemic.

Tickets could be purchased at the ticket booths, the day of the match, as well as at other area establishments and at UNICEF offices, on Ledesma Street, 18 in Bilbao. Ticket prices were 5 Euros for adults and 2 Euros for children under 18.

The following players were summoned for Athletic Club: Imanol Etxeberria, Meléndez, Lizarralde, Ipiña, Estibariz, Joseba Agirre, Luis Fernando, Aiukar, Vidal, Argote, Luke, Iñaki Garay, Larrazabal, Carlos and Gontzal Suances.

The referee was Iturralde González.
