Ticket Drawing

In view of the numerous consultations made by members throughout the day today with regards to the allocation of the 14,800 tickets drawn yesterday, Athletic Club would like to clarify the following:

1. – The official and only valid figures will be notified sometime tomorrow morning, once the notarized affidavit has been received, which certifies the validity of the drawing of lots and the allocation of the 14,800 tickets that will be granted to members.

2. – The speculations being made in some circles in the sense that the anticipated number of tickets have not been drawn, totally lack foundation. The base of these speculations has its origin in the register information given on the first and second day of registration. In this sense, we should point out that the information was given provisionally and was not made public when it was detected that duplicates, cancellations and new registrations were taking place, without these last ones eliminating the registration numbers of the previous ones. Consequently, a series of voided entries took place that computed as such registrations, but without any content as far as allocation of tickets.

3. – The permanent recount and subsequent notarial verification of the allocations will duly certify that the 14,800 tickets drawn will go to members.

4. – Athletic Club regrets that more than half of its members cannot be present in Valencia for the Copa Final against FC Barcelona, but reaffirms that the drawing of lots has been carried out under the strictest rigor, and rejects those that question the transparency of a process based on principles of pure randomness and absolute equality of opportunities between all the registration numbers at the beginning of the draw.
