Women’s football: first agreements

On Tuesday, 19 October, at 19:00 hours, at Ibaigane, the signing of the first collaborative agreements between Athletic Club and the female football teams took place. On behalf of Athletic Club was, among others, President Fernando García Macua. Those who have signed the agreement are as follows: Bizkerre, Iurretako, Iturgarpe, Athletic Sestaotarra Supporters’ club, Derio, Athletic Santurtzi Supporters’ club, Galdakao, Elorrio, Barakaldo, Plentzia, La Merced, Erandioko Betiko Neskak, Lanbide, CD Extremeño of Durango, San Ignacio, Leioa, Pauldarrak, Arratia and the Jesuits of Durango.

These are the necessary steps to be taken for the recognition of all the work that the clubs have been doing in this field, turning an, old demand of these clubs, and a decisive bid in favour by the Board of directors in this field, into a reality.

The agreements are for two years, deferrable to a maximum of four, if both parts give their consent. The agreements will come into effect this 2010-11 season and are open to all those clubs, sporting associations and groups that have female football teams, either professional or school teams.
