Everything is set for the match between Athletic Club and Sporting Club of Portugal, corresponding to the second leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final (21:05, Martin Atkinson -ING- San Mamés, C+ 1).
On Thursday, 26 April, in accordance with UEFA regulations, an organizational meeting was held in San Mamés Stadium’s facilities as of 10:30 hours. The meeting was chaired by the UEFA delegate, the Scot Derek Kirkwood and in the presence of the fourth referee the English, Michael Leslie Dean in representation of the referee Martin Atkinson, assistant referees Michael Mullarkey and Stephen Child, in addition to Mark Clattenburg and Michael Jones as substitute referees, all of whom are English
Among the decisions made at this meeting, besides those related sporting, administrative and security measures to follow during the match, having been declared by UEFA itself as high risk, the decision about the kits to be worm were also defined. Our team will don their first kit, red-white jersey with black shorts and socks. The goalkeepers will don light blue jersey, shorts and socks.
On the part of Sporting Club of Portugal, their players will be wearing white shorts and jerseys, with green socks, whereas their goalies will be wearing yellow jerseys, black shorts and yellow socks.
The presence of some 2,066 Sporting Club of Portugal followers is expected and San Mamés will fill up.
Skies are cloudy in Bilbao at this time and the temperature is 16 degrees, whereas for match time it is expected to be 15 degrees with overcast skies.
President Josu Urrutia will head the Athletic Club representation that at 14:00 will share a luncheon with leaders of the Portuguese team.
