The Foundation, in Jutiapa

Athletic Club Women’s players Nekane Díez, Arrate Orueta, Joana Arranz and Alazne Gómez, as well as Rafael Dehesa, the manager of the right bank Mini Lezama, will carry out a football development project in Honduras from 2 to 15 July. Thanks to the Athletic Club Foundation and in collaboration with the NGDO SERSO Euskalherria and SERSO Honduras, all 5 will be taking part in specific training sessions in the Honduran town of Jutiapa for local players, male and female, adolescents and children.

This action presents a double objective. On one hand, it seeks to vindicate the right to practice sports as a leisure alternative for the young people of Jutiapa (Honduras) where through football it fortifies the educational bet in values that contribute to their integral development. On the other hand, it seeks to vindicate solidarity volunteering in Biscay and the Basque Country. For this, the four players will maintain a blog during their fourteen-day stay in Jutiapa in which through photos, texts and videos they will share their experiences in Honduras with all the Athletic Club followers.
