Athletic Club has prevailed by the minimum in the derby celebrated in Lezama. I. Murua and Orueta, from a penalty, scored the goals for the rojiblancas, whereas Orueta, in own door, scored for the visitors.

The first 20 minutes of Athletic Club were the best of the game. The rojiblancas arrived with ease to Cristina Cornejo’s area and the goal occasions followed one another in the donostiarra goal: in the 3rd, forced shot by Nekane that the visiting goalie blocked; a minute later a good play by Erika that Izaskun finished off to the post; in the 5th, good penetration by Erika and good save by Cornejo. In the heat of the rojiblancas’ siege down the left wing, Erika once again created danger in the donostiarra area but Izaskun shot it high into the clouds. In the 10th, Eunate crossed from the left and I. Murua sent the ball to the bottom of the net for the score. After the goal, Real matured on the playing field and the sensation of dominance by Athletic slowly vanished. A cross by Eunate that found no strikers was the last to stand out on the part of Juan Luis Fuentes’ team in the first half; it was the minute 15.

Real Sociedad did not cause danger at the rojiblanca goal either, but in a cross by the donostiarra Ainhoa, the rojiblanca Orueta scored an own goal to equalize.

The beginning of second half was not good either. The first dangerous occasion arrived in the 64th, in a shot by V. Gimbert that Cornejo cleared to corner. In the 71st, the rojiblancas demanded a penalty on Erika for a foul within the area, but the referee did not call it and the ball once again ended up in post. Three minutes later, a new dangerous play by Erika within the area, the goalie from Donostia brought down the Navarrese forward and the referee called the eleven meters. Orueta was in charge of executing and mislead Cornejo with her shot for the goal.

After the goal, Real Sociedad attempted the equalizer in a penetration by Maria Diaz, but neither Nahikari nor Baños were able to finish off. And in the minute 90, Maialen Zelaia did not manage to finish it off for the draw.
