Everything is ready for the match between Athletic Club and BATE Borisov, corresponding to the sixth matchday of the UEFA Champions League Groups Phase (20:45, Daniele Orsato – ITA- San Mamés, C+Liga de Campeones).
On Wednesday, 10 December, in accordance with UEFA regulations, the organizational meeting took place at the San Mamés facilities, at 10:30 hours, under the direction of the UEFA delegate, the German Markus Stenger, and in the presence of, among others, the arbitration observer, the Scot Donald.
Among the decisions made at this meeting, in addition to administrative and security measures to abide by during the match, the decision about the kits to be worn by both teams was also defined. On the part of Athletic Club, our team will be sporting the first kit (red/white jersey and black pants and socks). The goalkeepers will be sporting an all-blue kit.
On the part of BATE Borisov, the players will be donning yellow jerseys, pants and socks while the goalkeepers will sport all-green uniforms.
A full-house is expected in San Mamés, with the presence of some 200 Belarus followers. Skies are cloudy and the temperature in Bilbao is 12 degrees and is expected to remain the same for game time, however, the forecast calls for rain.
President Josu Urrutia has headed the Athletic Club delegation that shared the institutional luncheon in Ibaigane with the leaders of the Belarus team.
