San Mames will host the ESSMA Summit 2016

This coming 19 and 20 January 2016, San Mamés will be the venue of the ESSMA Summit 2016. Founded in 1996 by Lionel Dreksler, the European Stadium and Safety Management Association is a non-profit organization destined to share experiences and knowledge in management, administration, sustainability and safety measures of football/soccer stadiums.

The ESSMA Summit took place for the first time this year at the end of January 2015, with the Allianz Arena in Munich as the main venue; a summit that had the collaboration of the ECA (European Club Association), EPFL (European Professional Football Leagues) and the ICCS (International Centre for Sport Security).

For Athletic Club, hosting the ESSMA Summit 2016 in its second edition implies significant international recognition, since it is the organization that selects the venues based on the interest that the stadium provokes as a model to illustrate. In addition, it is a magnificent opportunity to obtain international exposure by congregating those in charge of the most important stadiums of Europe in San Mamés.
