Athletic Club begins the process of seat changes for the members who are interested in choosing a different free seat to the one they already take in San Mamés.

The change of the seat would affect the next match to be played in San Mamés unless tickets sale for general public for the mentioned match is already open. In this case, the effect would start the Monday after the game.

How to participate in the process

Every interested Member must show their interest introducing the Membership code and the PIN code in the link available at “El Txoko de los Socios” on Club’s official website www.athletic-club.eus and must follow the given instructions.

The request of the seat change does not mean they must refuse the current one. The members will be able to check the new seat’s location in the appointment for change, and after that is when they must decide if they prefer keeping the current seat rather than changing to the new one.

Note: The free seats of the 109 block are excluded from the list due to the current works in the extension of Animation Zone.

Criteria for the call

The registered members will become part of an ordered list from highest to lowest seniority and they will be called to see the free seats available throughout the entire stadium.

They will have the possibility to be grouped together, those members who want to chose a new seat in the same grandstand, even if there are not adjacent seats. In this case, full group or none must change as group.

Determination of seniority

Seniority is defined as the period of time from the date of joining (the last time if there are more than one) as member of the Club, as Membership number.

For the calculation of the average of a group’s seniority, there will be a equal (the equal of time periods from their incorporations) and it will be divided among the quantity of group members. In this way, all the groups and individual members will be perfectly comparable.

If there is a tie on seniority calculation, first called group will be the one who has the most senior member; and if the tie persists, they will call first to the group which has the member with the nearest membership number to 1.

Restricted mobility people

Members who have the certificate from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia (Diputación Foral) attesting any scale of mobility reduction, or has a document which proofs they have a difficulty for climbing stairs, will have the opportunity to choose their seat in row 26 of the lower stands, which is reserved exclusively for these cases.

Deadline for seat location change

The link will be available at “Txoko de los Socios” on Athletic Club’s website from 10:00am hours on March 16 to 18:00pm hours on 30 March. No further requests are going to be served.

Publication of the list and call

The list of the members that individually or in group had requested a change of seat will be published on 1st of April, on Club’s official website. The list may also be consulted at Member Service Office of Ibaigane.

Membership detail codes and corresponding seniority will be included to each individual or member group who have requested the change. If an applicant could not attend the fixed appointment, should communicate by email, phone or in person to postpone the appointment.

Choice of seat

The member not necessarily needs to attend the appointment herself/himself. It is enough if someone on her/his behalf attends with her/his membership card in force together with ID card’s photocopy. The members who are enjoying a discount because of age or seniority are obligated to attend in person unless their absence is duly justified.

For those who decide to change their seat, the regularization between their current seat’s fee and the new seat’s payment or collection of difference will be made at the time, by cash or card.

Other considerations

The current seats of the members who decide to change their seats are not going to be available for the members who have their appointment later. There will be booked for the seat changes process of the next season. The list published together with the rules are the only eligible.

When a member makes an exchange or a swap with another one’s seat before the beginning of seat changes process, once the process is over, is not going to be possible to make a reverse swap with the same member. It won’t be possible to swap or exchange seats during the process neither.

Every end of each working day the Club will publish the original list with available free seats, all the previously chosen seats will be red marked.

Once the seat change process is over, all the members will be given two weeks time to see all the released seats in the first ten rows of the North Lower Grandstand and Southern Lower Grandstand and formalize a change of seat there if they wish. After the end of that period, the Club will proceed to the admission of new members in these rows and grandstands.
