Osvaldo Artiles will attend Thinking Football Film Festival in Bilbao on April 11 (BBK hall, 20:00 hours, free admission) for ESPN documentary ‘Blanco, celeste y blanco’ (USA, 2014). It is about the story of Ardiles and Ricardo Villa during the years when they were Tottenham Hotspur players, and that period coincided with the Falklands islands War. Ardiles with be together with Camilo Antoline, documentary’s director.

Osvaldo Ardiles, known in England as ‘Ossie’, is one of the best players in football history. Skillful midfielder, played in Club Atletico Huracán until 1978, when he was transferred to Tottenham Hostpur, after winning the 1978 FIFA World Cup with Argentina. During the Falklands War the conflict which confronted England and Argentina in 1982, the player moved to Paris to join Paris Saint-Germain, and he only went back to England when the conflict was over. Ardiles was retired as Swindon Town player and he also had a long careear as coach, having led clubs like Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion or Tottenham Hotspurs. He also became famous for being part of the cast of one of the most famous football film: ‘Victory’ with Silverster Stallone, Michael Caine or Pelé.

Meanwhile, Camilo Antolini is a partner and director of the production 100 Bares. His career as editor began with films like ‘El mismo amor, la misma lluvia’, ‘El hijo de la novia’ or ‘Vientos de agua’. He also participated as producer in ‘Metegol’ and ‘El secreto de sus ojos’. After leading some advertising campaigns, Antolini directed ‘Blanco, celeste y blanco’ of te prestigious ESPN ’30 for 30′ documentary series.

Osvaldo Ardiles and Camilo Antolini will be at the Sala BBK at public’s disposal after the projection of ‘Blanco, celeste y blanco’ on Monday, April 11 at 20:00.
