Tribute to Saioa González and Amaia Olabarrieta

On Sunday 22nd of May, in Lezama, in the pre-match ceremony against Oiartzun, there’ll be a tribute to Amaia Olabarrieta and Saioa González. These two players have defended our colors 232 and 70 matches respectively, and there will finish their football careers due to injuries.

Amaia Olabarrieta’s first match was on 4th of June of 2004 and after 13 seasons as Athletic football player, she has achieved two Superleagues (seasons 2004/05 and 2006/07), and she is on 10th position in the list of the players with more matches, which have been 232, and she has scored 32 goals until her injury in the match against Valencia CF on 16th of March of 2014.

Saioa González’s debut with the Ladies Team was on 19th of September of 2010, and during six seasons she has played 70 matches and she has scored three goals. Saioa’s injury happened on 14th March of 2014 in the match against Atlético de Madrid which didn’t allow her to continue playing football.
