Today Tuesday March 13th continues Thinking Football 2018 with the screening of two documentaries. At 18:00, the first one, from Israel, tells the story of one of the most racist stands in the world, the radical Beitar of Jerusalem fans and how they received the first two (and only) Muslim players in the history of this club. Directed by Maya Zinshtein, ‘Forever Pure’ is a documentary that warns us about the danger and the ability to detroy to the other-different.
Later, at 20:00, we will have the opportunity to watch the German documentary ‘Zweikampfer’, from German film director Mehdi Benhadj-Djilali. Translate into English as ‘The Duelists’, the documentary accompanies a group of unemployed football players, who brushed the glory with their fingers and now they are doubting about accepting or not an offer from far Vietnam. After the screening of the film, the audience will be able to discuss with the director and also with one of the stars , Benjamin Schüßler, former player among other teams, Borussia Mönchengladbach.
All screenings are in the BBK Room with free admission until the capacity is exhausted. More information and opening hours at thinkingfootballfilmfestival.com
