Death of KToño Frade

Juan Antonio “KToño” Frade, one of the most famous red-and-white cartoonists, died today afternoon November 12th 2018.

Big Athletic fan born in 1945 and member of Athletic since 1953. He was a great connoisseur of Athletic. A caricaturist and cartoonist, who collaborated with the club’s official magazine in the 1970s with his jokes and interpretations of Athletic players.

Generous and cheerful, he shared memories and donated part of his archive and other materials to the Club Museum, part of which can be seen in its permanent exhibition.
