The Athletic Club ladies team will play to qualify for the semi-finals of Cup by a single match in San Mames next Wednesday, 30th January, at 7:00 p.m. His rival will be Atlético de MAdrid, current winter champion of the Iberdrola League and one of the most fearsome teams in the category.

The occasion is well worth it and the lionesses return to San Mames to have as much support as possible to face the ‘colchoneras’. The objective is that Athletic, as it is usual in the great cup fixtures, feels the breath of a more and more identified fans with the first femenine squad. The Club will report in the following days on the various initiatives taken to encourage public attendance at the red-and-white field.

It will be the thirteenth time that the girls play in San Mames since they played their first match against Puebla in 2002/03 season. That first victory by 5-1 and the next against Hispalis from Seville (5-0) played also in San Mames with 35,000 spectators, gave Athletic Club the first title of the Women’s Super League.
