Aduriz and Nuñez awarded by Onda Cero Bilbao

If Athletic Club’s team is a mixture of experience and youth, then it is not surprising that it’s representation at the Onda Cero Bilbao Sports Awards has had as protagonists the oldest member of the team and one of the youngests.

At the gala held this Wednesday at the Bilbao Sports Club, Aritz Aduriz and Unai Nuñez took their awards. The striker adds one more award to his long collection as the team’s top scorer year after year. As he received the award he made clear that his main goal is to recover as fast as possible from his injury and get back to the field.

For Unai Nuñez this was his debut in these kind of events. His first year as a lion was endorsed with the award for the most regular player of last season, a good spur for the central from Portugalete in an always hard and complicated way to obtain a foothold in Athletic’s continuity.

With Luis Fernando Baranda and Gorka Acitores as masters of ceremonies, Aduriz and Nuñez have shared the gala with the rest of the winners. Among them, Joseba Etxebarria who has received the Trayectoria Prize, the cyclist Omar Fraile,the rowers of Zierbena Arraun Elkartea or the Lointek Gernika of feminine basketball.
