Asier Villalibre will be lion until 2023

Asier Villalibre (Gernika, 09-30-1997) has signed a new contract with Athletic Club that makes him a red-and-white player until June 30, 2023. It will have a termination clause of 50 million euros.

The striker from Gernika is a clear bet for a player of the young academy: he arrived at the cadet B in the season 2011/12 and since then he remains in our discipline. He has already played six games with the first team (four in LaLiga and two in UEL in the 2016/17 campaign) and has also known several transfers (Numancia, Real Valladolid and Lorca).

In the season just ended, he played for Bilbao Athletic and scored 23 goals, becoming the top scorer in all the Second Division B groups.
