Xabier Etxeita will not continue in Athletic Club

Athletic Club has informed the player Xabier Etxeita Gorritxategi, who ends his contract with the entity on the 30th of June, that he will not continue in the red-and-white discipline, where he has played for 7 seasons, reaching 140 matches and 8 goals (4 in LaLiga, 3 in Cup and 1 in the Europe League). He was part of the squad that won the Supercup title in 2015.
Etxeita arrived at Bilbao Athletic in the season 2006/07, from the SD Amorebieta, and remained in our ranks until 2009/10. After a journey through Cartagena and Elche, he returned to Athletic in 2013/14 until the end of 2017/18 when he left on loan to SD Huesca.
