Ángel Villacampa is ambitious in the start of the Primera Iberdrola, his debut in front of the red-and-white bench in official competition
The coach of Athletic Club Femenino, Ángel Villacampa, has been optimistic in the press conference before the match that will face lionesses on Sunday 8 against Levante UD Femenino at 12.00 pm in Buñol. “Levante is a very complex rival. It is a club that has made a team to enter the Champions League and to do so has made a significant financial outlay. We paid attention to ourselves and I think we have so much to say in this league.” Villacampa also highlighted the potential of the opposing team as well as its background.
The Primera Iberdrola begins this weekend with more foreign players than ever. 106 is the number for this 2019-2020 season. “For us it’s one more challenge. We’re ready for it. We refuse to think small in such a big club. We don’t give up anything and we feel the same options as any team.”
The red-and-white coach faces the first day away from home with enthusiasm and the desire to contemplate how the work done in pre-season is consolidated. “Winning would make us reaffirm our ideas and find the true identity of this team. But this sports project has just begun and we should not look at the short term.”
