Oihane Valdezate goes further

Oihane Valdezate turned 19 last April and in the same month she debuted in First Division with Athletic Club. It was in Albacete when Joseba Aguirre gave this golden occasion to the player from Trapaga. Since then, the midfielder has not stop working to find hesrplace in the first team, something that came true with the arrival of Ángel Villacampa, last summer.

Trained at Pauldarrak, Valdezate had to change the position from the front to her current position in the rear. Her height, 1.80, made her a safe value in the rear. This season, she has already played two days with the first team and many others with the subsidiary of Iraia Iturregi, but she is clear about this: “I want to continue growing as a player and I’m in no hurry to finish my studies. If I need more time, I will devote more of my time“. The midfielder is attending the second year of Physical Education and she trains in the morning with her colleagues. In the attached video, Oihane describes her feelings as a First Division player.
