Sharing knowledge with Salzburg, Inter and Southampton

Representatives from Athletic Club, made up by the head of Planning, Diego Gil de Gómez and Eneko Amparan, methodologist of the Training and Development Department, took part this week in a Working Group focused on categories U9-U14. The event took place in Salzburg, was organized by Red Bull Akademie and was attended by managers from Inter de Milán, Southampton FC and Red Bull Salzburg.

Each of the Clubs of the working group showed their training methodology, content planning, sessions, analysis and assessment, player profiles and competitions. Gil de Gómez y Amaparan, in particular, explained the work being currently done in Lezama within the youth category. They also focused on the agreements and collaboration with other clubs, as part of the Training and Development Department.

In addition, the participants visited the stadium and RB Salzburg akademia, attended its session and met their organization and other details such as the accommodation, canteen organization and their relation with the hockey team.

This is the third event shared by Athletic, Inter de Milan, Southampton FC and Red Bull Salzburg, all members of the European Clubs Association. Last April the sessions took place at the facilities of the Italian team and in June, at Lezama. The main objective is to share ideas about the training and methodology of the youngest players.
