It has been 95 years now since the match against Boca Juniors, the first of the seven Argentinian sides that have visited La Catedral

Such a day as today, on 5 April 1925, an Argentinian team visited La Catedral for the first time. The hosts prevailed 4-2 over Boca Juniors, thanks to the braces scored by Areta and Larraza, and after that game, it took 22 years of waiting to see another side from Argentina on the pitch at San Mamés.

A total of seven teams from Argentina have ever visited San Mamés and a total of eleven fixtures have been played with them. Out of those 11 matches, the lions have won 6, drawn 2 and lost 3.
