Full Match: Athletic Club – Sevilla FC (LaLiga 2015-16)

The 38th and last league matchday of the 2015-16 season faced Athletic Club and Sevilla FC at San Mamés. It was a very emotional game because it was the last of Carlos Gurpegui after 15 seasons wearing our shirt. As a tribute, Athletic won 3-1 thanks to Aduriz’s goalscoring double and Raúl García’s goal, and finished the competition in fifth place, which gave us the classification for the Europa League Group Stage the following campaign.

Five minutes from the end, the entire San Mamés stood up to cheer a Gurpe who was replaced by Mikel Rico.
