Daniel Vivian signs with the first team until 2023

Daniel Vivian’s contract with Athletic Club has been extended until June 2023. The new deal will see the central defender stay with the first team for the next three seasons. The release clause will be 40 million euros.

Dani Vivian arrived at Lezama in 2016/17 via Santutxu FC. In his first season at the Club he turned out for CD Basconia and in the second -the one in which he made his first appearance in a first-team matchday squad- he made several appearances for Bilbao Athletic. He went on to cement his place in the ‘B’ team in 2018-19. Last summer, he joined the first-team’s training camp in Germany and impressed as head coach Gaizka Garitano used him regularly throughout the 2019-20 pre-season, playing a total of 385 minutes and scoring a goal in the friendly fixture against CD Numancia.
