Óscar de Marcos, Iñigo Lekue and Dani García are back in training, while Kenan Kodro and Ibai Gómez are cleared to return
Only Jokin Ezkieta was absent as Athletic Club trained at San Mamés on Friday morning. The lions continued their preparations for their upcoming LaLiga home match against Real Betis on Monday (21:00 CET). With the last phase of the change of turf now complete, Gaizka Garitano’s squad took to The Cathedral’s pitch.
It was also a training session in which many first team players returned. Oscar de Marcos was back after his positive COVID-19 test. Dani Garcia and Iñigo Lekue were also back after spending 10 days in confinement due to being classed as close contacts of Oscar’s.
Alongside those three, Athletic Club’s medical services have given the official all-clear to Ibai Gómez and Kenan Kodro, both of whom have been back in training for some time now.
In Friday’s session, De Marcos and Peru Nolaskoain followed their own programme at a different pace to the rest of the group.
