Balenziaga: “We’ll keep trying”

Mikel Balenziaga expressed his disappointment after Athletic Club’s Copa del Rey final defeat against FC Barcelona, while admitting the Catalans were the best side on the night.

“It’s a very hard moment. We’ve worked hard to get here, but we had few chances on the night. They were better than us,” he said.

The Athletic defender gave his thoughts on the match, saying: “We held out in the first half, but little by little they gained ground and they beat us.”

Balenziaga had a message for fans: “We’ll keep trying, fighting, better than today. It will be tough, but we have to pull ourselves together, lift ourselves up and keep going, like we always do.”
