The Cathedral honoured the 2022 One-Club Man in the lead-up to Athletic vs Valencia
On Saturday, San Mamés paid tribute to Ricardo Bochini, Club Atlético Independiente legend and winner of the One-Club Man 2022. The Cathedral rose to its feet in recognition of Bochini’s loyalty and commitment to the club where he spent his entire career.
‘El Bocha’ won four top-flight titles and four Copa Libertadores during his 20 seasons with Independiente and our One-Club Man was widely considered Argentina’s best ‘no.10’ in history until the arrival of Diego Maradona and then Leo Messi.
Just before kick-off against Valencia CF, José Ángel Iribar and an Athletic academy player presented the Argentinian icon with the seventh One-Club Man award.
