Consultancy firm Brand Finance ranks Athletic as the 39th among most valuable club brands in the world, increasing its value by 20% and climbing four places compared to 2021

Consultancy firm Brand Finance Football has published a report establishing the 50 most valuable club brands in the world. Athletic Club has climbed up four positions compared to last year’s standings and is now ranked 39th in the world, with a 20% increase in value.

The prestigious consultancy company singled out Athletic’s presence among the world’s top clubs, stating: “Despite not being present in the major competitions or having the most internationally renowned players, the club has a passionate following as well as a strong national heritage and tradition.”

The statement also highlighted innovation as one of Athletic’s standout aspects, adding: “Athletic has a good reputation and a positive impact on its local community.”

Athletic is currently the sixth most valuable team in LaLiga, behind only Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla FC and Valencia CF. The table is led by Real Madrid, with a brand value of €1.525 million, followed by Manchester City, FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC and Manchester United.
