Athletic’s away kit for next season is now available in the Club’s online store
Athletic Club and New Balance are delighted to present our away kit for the 2022/23 season. It is available for purchase now in the Club’s retail outlets and online shop.
Inspired by the strength of Los Leones, the new magnet grey jersey features an impressive graphic lion print in shades of red and black. The design is a tribute to the fierce spirit of Athletic Club and the mighty roar of Athleticzales.
What’s more, it also features a round neck collar with silver trim, while the sleeves are black. The top also includes exclusive New Balance details and the Ikurriña on the back of the neck.
Matching red shorts and socks complete our 22/23 away kit.

The 2022/23 away kit release is part of New Balance’s “Born, Bred, Basque” campaign for Athletic Club, celebrating the family, philosophy and culture that the entire Athleticzale community holds so dear.
Athletic Club centre-back Iñigo Martínez insisted he would “wear the strip with pride”, saying the kit represents the entire Athletic family.
He said: “I really like the new design because it shows what it means to be part of the Athletic Club family. It’s hard to put into words what it means to play for this team, but I’ll wear this new shirt with pride next season, as will the rest of the team.”
Kenny McCallum, General Manager of New Balance Football, explained how the nature of Athletic’s support impacted the jersey’s design.
“The incredible spirit that drives Athletic Club was the inspiration for this year’s away shirt,” he added.
“New Balance has created a fierce design that matches that energy and spirit of this unique club. We can’t wait to see the squad wearing it next season.”
